Money Monday

I kind of got off track with a lot of things, and this segment was among them, but I’ve got some cool resources to help stretch you dollars a little further.  My income is limited to what I get from Social Security Disability, so I’m not rich and am always looking for ways to save money myself, and every once in awhile I come across something that while I can’t benefit from it personally, I figure there is someone who can, so I wanted to make some neat links available to my readers in hopes that either you or someone you know might be able to use them.

Here’s the linksI have so far ….

Kmart Assist Savings Program http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/dap_10151_10101_DAP_Unemployment+Program?adCell=W4 … This program is for folks who are collecting unemployment and it enables them to register for the program and receive 20% off on select merchendise purchased at Kmart during a 6 month time period.  I’m not clear if this is a one time thing, or if it’s possible to renew your membership, or should you go back to work and get laid off again if you would be able to benefit from this program a second time so that’s something you may want to ask if you qualify for the program.

Sears KidVantage Clubhttp://www.sears.com/shc/s/nb_10153_12608_NB_kid%20vantage  this is a free program that allows parents to exchange shoes and clothes purchased at Sears for an item of the same size if the child wears out the item before they outgrow it.  There are also discounts available through this program that aren’t otherwise available, the only catch is that you need to physically go into a full line Sears store to sign up in person.  I think there is a discount you get for spending $100 also if I remember correctly, but I got the impression is was an accumulated $100 and not neccesarily $100 in a single visit.
