“Eating disorders spreading to younger kids”

This December 28, 2014, Lancaster Online article talks about eating disorders surfacing in teens and preteens an estimate in the article says that the out of every 100 kids there is a chance of finding a couple of kids with some form of eating disorder.  Until recently it was felt that eating disorders were predominately seen in older teens or college aged young adults.

  2. Wow. My 12 yr old son is a hockey player who has a six pack and is worried about keeping it! I spent a lot of time teaching his older sisters about not having an eating disorder like I did, but I forgot to tell him. I got right on that and we have talked. I feel lucky to have picked up on it and ward off potential crises!
