This January 25, 2015 The Inquirer article found on the Philly.com website offers more details into what the “Glitch” in the transition from medical assistance to Corbett’s Healthy Pa Medicaid alternative plan was. The glitch seems to effect people in treatment for mental health and or drug and alcohol
treatment, specifically those told they were enrolled in Healthy Pa Plus …. the result of the glitch is that this group of people were somehow switched to private pay insurances INSTEAD of the Healthy Pa Plus program they were told they were being placed in. I’ve been attempting to follow this glitch, but was sick for a couple of weeks with the flu so I was out of commission, now I’m playing catch up and am just now (about a week after recovering) starting to feel like I’ve regained the upper hand on all the stuff I got behind on. This is the first article I’ve seen about this glitch since before my bout with the flu when I posted the article about it back in December which I have linked below.
