This September 28, 2014 The Sentinel article talks about an upcoming candle light vigil, meant to raise awareness of mental illness, to be held on October 5, 2014  at 6:30pm on the steps of the Cumberland County Courthouse at the Square in Carlisle, PA.

Mental Illness Awareness Week is held the first full week of October each year and is also known as Mental Health Awareness Week.  The Awareness Week was established in 1990 in the United States spurred on by the efforts of NAMI in raising awareness about mental illness and the many facets of the issue.
