I have met Shelley Bishop, and am VERY pleased to share this article with my readers, Shelley is one of the folks who has been an inspiration in the mental health community here in Pennsylvania for many years, in fact I was very familiar with her name long before I ever met her, which in this case is an awesome thing.  I tip my “I’m The Evidence” ball cap to Shelley and everyone else who is involved with Support the Journey

This article dated March 23, 2012 on the MV: Unleash Your Groove website, is one written by the keynote speaker at the 2012 Pennsylvania Mental Health Consumers Association (PMHCA) annual conference.  This article was written before the conference, and covers things like what he hoped to gain from his experience at the conference and what he hopes to offer to others attending.

Unlike most articles I post on here, this is one that was sent to me by the writer, with a request to share it with my audience.  I would like to take a moment to thank Mike Veny for sharing this article with me.  I wasn’t at the conference this year, but I know from past years how much of an impact the speakers and presenters can have on those attending.  I feel privileged to have been asked to post this article and the one that will be up tomorrow as well.
