This May 13, 2014  Health Day article on FoxPhilly.com talks about recent studies that seem to sho that people with mental illnesses are more likely to use e-cigarettes than someone without a mental illness would be.  The article also points out that the mental health community has been overlooked in many ways with regards to anti-smoking campaigns.

This February 3, 2014 Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article talks about concern by the FDA over the use of e-cigarettes.  The concerns mentioned in the article include not only the idea that for teens, e-cigarettes could be a gateway type device to smoking, but also they have concern about the unknown long-term effects of inhaling propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin both are considered safe as food additives, but it is unknown about the effect of inhaling these chemicals into the lungs.
