This Breaking Ground segment was found on December 29, 2014 and talks about something most of us don’t even think about …. the question of what do Military Kids go through while their Military Parent is deployed or the family has to move because of orders received by the parent to report for duty at a different place?  It’s worth reading, and offered some insight for me into a world I know little about.

This December 23, 2014 MNT  article offers not only suggestions for things we can work on in the coming year, but also explains why these suggestions could benefit us and those around us.  Suggestions range from improving mental health/wellness to eating healthy and exercising more, but also includes things like working either a paid or volunteer job or taking up a new hobby.  I would even suggest dusting off an old hobby you enjoyed in the past.  The common thread that I noticed that tied a lot of the suggestions offered together was setting and achieving goals, in addition to the potential for overall mental and physical health benefits to the person actively participating in whatever activity is chosen to work on.
