This February 8, 2013 article on the Daily American website talks about a new referral system in Pennsylvania.  If you need information about human service related services, and are in Pennsylvania, simply dial 2-1-1 and you will be able to find services including but not limited to mental health services, housing, homeless resources and other similar services in your area.  2-1-1 appears to be available in other states as well, but not every state.

This December 27, 2012 article on the GoErie.com website talks about a former Nursing home that is being turned into housing for homeless Veterans  H.A.N.D.S. of Erie is working closely with the Erie VA to make sure the needs of Vets are met by including plans for mental health counseling and financial planning for the future residents.

County supports EOC’s Fairweather Lodge program – TimesObserver.com | News, Sports, Jobs, Community Information – The Times Observer.

This article found in the Warren Times Observer on August 15, 2011.  It discusses a Fairweather lodge that is in the works in Youngsville, PA, located in Warren County.  A Fairweather lodge as I understand it, is basically a shared living setting, where everyone in the home contributes to a business run by the folks living there.  I also understand that the business is supervised by a third-party to make sure that everything is being done properly.
