This article appears on the Public Opinion Online website, but I didn’t see a date, so I’m not sure when it was published exactly, just that it came up in results in a search I did for articles in the past week (circa February 9, 2013).  The article discusses Corbett’s human service funding and the potential impact it may have.

This September 12, 2012 article on thetimes-tribune.com website, talks a little about what services are being cut or decreased to compensate for the 10% cut in human services funding in Pennsylvania, the article also talks about the block grant pilot program.

This article dated June 30, 2012 on the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette website offers some info on the human service block grant pilot program, and has an interesting quote indicating that folks on General Assistance MIGHT get their last check at the end of July instead of the end of June, but I haven’t been able to confirm this rumor yet.

According to this June 7, 2012 article found on TheTRIADvocate site, they ran a poll last month and found an overwhelming number of respondents to be against the proposed cuts to human service funding.  The page also includes a link to an overview of the results of their poll.
