This January 21, 2015 Correctional News  article talks about more of the details of the changes being made in the Pennsylvania correctional system about the ways that mentally ill inmates are treated while they are incarcerated in Pennsylvania.  The Department of Corrections will be working closely with the PA Disability Rights Network to make sure that the changes being made are positive changes.

This January 12, 2015 Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article talks not only about the changes being made in the Pennsylvania prison system, but goes on to remind us that it is equally important to fund mental health services in the community to help to help prevent people from ending up in jails and prisons because of crimes committed as a result of untreated mental health issues.

This January 7, 2015 Think Progress article talks about changes being made to the treatment of inmates with mental health issues that are happening because of a settlment in a federal lawsuit brought by the Disability Rights Network of Pennsylvania (DRNPA)  against the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (DOC).
