“Certain Antipsychotic Meds Tied to Kidney Problems in Elderly”

Article Link

This August 19, 2014 Health Day article  found on the Philly.com website talks about studies that seem to point to a possible link between 3 specific antipsychotics and the potential for kidney damage in the elderly.  The article suggests things to consider before medicating the elderly such as are they comfortable, is the room too hot or too cold, did a family member that typically visits every week not make it to see the person?  It also suggests diverting the persons attention and energy into something more productive and if everything has been considered or tried, then consider medication as a last resort.
