This March 5, 2015 The Inquirer article found on the Philly.com website talks about the hope that Medicaid Expansion in Pennsylvania using the Federal expansion plan will be completed in September of this year.  This will be a multiphase process with the expectation that phase one will be completed in April.

This August 2, 2013 article found on the Philly.com website talks about the ongoing issue of kids on Medicaid having to wait too long to begin mental health treatment.  Some wait a month or more after their first contact before their first therapy session begins.  There is a mandated 1 week time frame set by the state for people of all ages to begin treatment.
