This September 2, 2014 Health Day article found on the Philly.com website talks about how family meals can help prevent kids from being negatively impacted by cyber-bullying.  The article also offers a reminder to parents to be aware of what you kids are doing online so you can help head off problems before they get out of hand.

This December 11, 2013 article on the Philly.com website talks about the effect of harsh parenting on the developing brains of children.  The article indicates that harsh parenting isn’t considered to be abuse, but that it does cause problems for the child that can last a lifetime.

This video on YouTube was Published on Feb 6, 2013 and is a segment of the Ricki Lake show where the topic was mental health treatment and stigma.  I was very pleased with how the topic was presented the topic targets parents of children with mental illnesses, but many of the things faced by kids with mental illnesses in the way society views them and their families doesn’t end just because the child turned 18 it is a lifelong issue for many.
