“Mental health hotline to centralize resources”

This December 2, 2014 article on The Daily Pennsylvanian website talks about a new hotline that has been setup by the Division of Public Safety  for Penn students to call if they are in need of mental health assistance.  The number doesn’t replace existing services, but rather simplifies things in that students will have one number they can call 24 hours a day if they need help rather than needing to call one of two numbers based on whether they are calling within or outside of regular business hours for CAP.  The article points out that this number does not replace CAP services, but rather is meant to be an extension of the services provided by CAP.  The numbers for Penn students in crisis to call are included with the article.
